Solana ETFs pull $188 million, their biggest week of 2026

US spot Solana funds took in $188 million in the week to September 25, their strongest run since the products launched last October. One fund, Bitwise's BSOL, pulled in more than two thirds of it. The flows are real, but small next to bitcoin and ether.

US spot Solana exchange-traded funds drew $188.2 million in net inflows in the week to 25 September 2026, their biggest week of the year, according to data provider SoSoValue cited by The Block. One fund took most. That was the strongest week for the products since they launched in late October 2025.

The haul trailed only the funds' launch week, when they pulled in $199.2 million, The Block reported. Over the 12 weeks to mid-September the Solana funds had already gathered about $1.4 billion, according to Solana Compass. Demand for the newest crypto ETFs has held while bitcoin funds only turned positive for the year in the same week.

Where the money went

Bitwise's BSOL fund led by a wide margin. It drew $128.46 million for the week, about 68% of the total, according to figures reported by Bloomingbit. Grayscale's GSOL took $28.06 million and Fidelity's FSOL took $17.59 million. Morgan Stanley's MSOL, VanEck's VSOL and Franklin Templeton's SOEZ split most of the rest, each in the single-digit millions.

Friday did the heavy lifting. The funds took in $86.7 million that day, their largest single session since launch, with BSOL alone accounting for $55.7 million of it, The Block reported. Combined assets across the Solana ETFs reached $1.5 billion on Friday, up from about $1.2 billion a week earlier.

Why one fund is taking most of it

The concentration in Bitwise is the part worth pausing on. When more than two thirds of a week's money lands in one product, the headline number tells you as much about that fund as about Solana. Hunter Horsley, chief executive of Bitwise, flagged the run himself on 25 September, writing that "over $110,000,000 of inflows into the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF $BSOL this week" showed that "many seem to be thinking Solana looks good."

BSOL is a staking fund, which means it aims to pass on some of the yield that Solana pays validators for helping run the network. Neither SoSoValue nor the issuers have said how much of the Bitwise inflow came from a single large buyer versus many small ones. So the depth of the demand is still hard to read.

How it compares to bitcoin and ether

Set next to the older funds, Solana's week looks small. US spot bitcoin ETFs drew $2.4 billion over the same days, and ether ETFs took in $689.9 million, per SoSoValue data cited by The Block. Solana's $188.2 million is a fraction of either. The gap is wide. It is also a much younger product, roughly 11 months old against nearly two years for the bitcoin funds. Reading any one week takes care, which is what an ETF inflow number actually tells you, and what it leaves out.

Solana (SOL) traded near $121 on Binance's USDT market on 27 September 2026, up about 0.9% on the day, according to Bloomingbit. The token remains well below its own peaks. Inflows and price have moved loosely together this year, though neither reliably leads the other.

What to watch

Whether the streak holds is the first thing to track. Solana ETF flows have been jumpy. One week this year they fell from $153.87 million to $6.18 million, a 96% drop, so a strong week is not a trend on its own. That is the risk. Watch whether the money keeps coming after Bitwise's push cools.

Macro data is the other pressure. A US inflation reading, the August PCE index, is due on 30 September at 12:30 UTC, and a hot print could cool risk buying across crypto. For now the Solana funds are having their best stretch since they opened. The test is whether it lasts past one issuer and one good week.
